The new "Book"

Penny Arcade takes a jab at the Kindle.

Comic Link

Its funny to see all the ways the Kindle is touted as being revolutionary, yet is still pretty mundane when compared to the timeless aspect of a honest, analog-format book.

This was a pedestrian tunnel in London, that was freely open to graffiti artists to work without threat of prosecution. Apparently it was organized by Banksy.

This was painted on a column in Edinburgh; I took the photo this summer. Very contemporary style of typography for the top piece, the bottom is a fun, mix of calligraphy and rectilinear forms.

I'm not sure what the top and bottom pieces are advertising, or if they are related

Mausoleum bronzework typeography

I took this photo in a large cemetery in Paris this summer. The bronze type on the mausoleum isn't quite like anything I've seen before. Feels like a mix between a medieval manuscript and a Vienna Secession-era style.

Interesting Stencil Effect

I'm guessing this is what happens when using a type stencil, and angling the drawing impliment a certain way that the resulting character has much thinner definition than what was intended by stencil. Gives a very clean, linear feel. The mashup quality is also makes it feel like a full pattern.

Abstract New York - with Legos!

Not exactly Typography, but NY abstracted through Legos. Very clever, and brings back old memories as a kid.

I love the sushi/polish flag duo.
